Tokyo has a subtropical climate with four distinct seasons. Summer is usually hot, even though winter is mild with general temperature ranging around 0-10oC with rare snowfall (only a few times per year). The best season to visit Tokyo is from March to April, when cherry-blossoms bloom beautifully. However, this is also the busiest and most expensive season when all the prices are gone up.
Tokyo has amazing quantity and variety of food. Some dishes that are so-called well-known to the world can be found here fresh and original including sushi, tempura, soba, gyaoza, shabu shabu and okonomiyaki. A must try is the famous Japanese fast food chain Yoshinoya.
Tokyo has a vast array of sights, as each area has its very own characteristics. Yet the first items on one’s agenda should be the temple of Asakusa, the garden of Imperial Palace and Meiji Shrine. In addition, there are plenty scenic spots followed after as Tokyo Tower, Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building, Roppongi Hills, Mori Art Museum, Rainbow Bridge and Fuji Mount.
Tokyo is one of the world’s most expensive, but it plays an excellent role as the fashion and cosmetic centre in the Eastern world. They are famed for all kinds of items like funky fashion, antique furniture, anime, comic goods, funky paraphernalia, and own the largest electronic industry with all major brands like Sony, Toshiba, Panasonic, etc. Some shopping destinations one should visit including Ginza, Shibuya, Harajuku, Roppongi Hills, Akihabara, Shinjuku, and area around Jinbocho subway stop, Kappabashi Street, Ueno’s Ameyoko and Asakusa.
Tokyo has Vietnam Airlines, Japan Airlines and All Nippon Airways that are the only three that sell flight tickets to Tokyo directly from Vietnam. Besides that, passengers yet have plenty options with other big airlines such as Cathay Pacific, China Eastern Airlines, Asiana Airlines, China Southern Airlines, Malaysia Airlines, Air China, China Airlines, Thai Airways, Eva Airways and Singapore Airlines.
