Air Asia is a low-cost airline, which headquarter is in The Low Cost Carrier Terminal (LCCT) at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KUL), Malaysia. It exploits the domestic and international flights network with the Asia's leading low airfare. Beginning as the very first airline in the region applying E-ticket booking system, AirAsia has considerably expanded its route network together with its associate companies i.e. Thai AirAsia, Indonesia AirAsia and AirAsia X.
Air Asia was honored to win the World's Best Low Cost Airline Award in three consecutive years 2009-2010-2011 by Skytrax.
Air Asia (including Thai AirAsia , AirAsia X và Indonesia AirAsia) owns a fleet of 58 Airbus A320-200 (180 seats), 16 Boeing 737-300 (148 seats), 1 Airbus A330-300 (383 seats) and 1 Airbus A340 (286 seats).
Air Asia owns 74 airplanes in different sizes and shapes including Airbus A320-200, Airbus A321-231, Airbus A330-200, Airbus A330, Boeing B777-200ER and Fokker 70.
Air Asia charges a baggage fee for the carriage of Checked Baggage. A minimum of 15kg of Checked Baggage may be purchased at first instance and then in increments of 5kg. Please refer to AirAsia fee schedule for details on all rates. For safety reasons, Checked Baggage must not exceed 32 kg and combined dimensions is not more that 81cm X 119cm X 119cm. For Unchecked Baggage, the limits are 7kg of weight and not exceed the dimensions of 56cm X 36cm X 23cm.
